My life in Taiwan is about constant learning, building relationships, overcoming struggles, and achieving self-fulfillment. Coming here is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Despite being unable to speak their language, Taiwan is my second home. It has provided me an excellent learning ground and resources to further my studies. When I first arrived here to study, I knew I had much to grasp. But the hard work and sleepless nights paid off. Taiwan then offered me a reputable workplace where I can pursue my passion for teaching, doing research, and continuing to hone my skills. It still surprises me and others that I was offered a position in the same university that nurtured me. Taiwan is one of the safest and most beautiful countries. We are free and secure to roam around, admire their scenic spots, indulge in diverse cuisines, and appreciate their culture. I am proud of the country’s policies to embrace foreigners. Social welfare is the government’s priority, they put into mind even those who are not their citizens. Taiwanese people may be the kindest, they never hesitate to help strangers. I have gained friends who continually inspire and support me. I am nothing but grateful to Taiwan for everything that it has given me. I am very blessed to be here, meet wonderful people, and experience all the best that it has to offer.
